Our Staff

​All of our therapeutic services are provided by licensed mental health professionals (through our contract with Hope Reins.)

Hope Reins was founded by and is managed by Debra K. Hirschberg. The therapists at Hope Reins:

• Debra K. Hirschberg, LCSW, EAGALA certified
  
• Nora Whitlock, LCSW, EAGALA certified
  

• All of our equine therapy is provided using the eagala model. The eagala model requires all sessions to be facilitated by a team; a mental health profession, equine specialist and horse(s). This model is the global standard of equine assisted therapy and learning. Eagala provides training and certification that ensures professionalism and high ethical standards. All of our therapist and equine specialists are eagala certified. It is through this partnership that the powerful results of working with horses becomes life changing.

​All operations and administration as well as most of the horse care is provided by volunteers. Volunteers have also been involved in much of the manual work of property improvements as well as helping to make events possible. See the volunteer page for more information.
